The Zebra QLn320 Healthcare mobile printer is similar to the standard QLn320 except it includes healthcare specific-features that allow it to be cleaned quickly and easily between each use. It is constructed with materials that are durable and disinfectant ready and can be cleaned with chemicals like isopropyl, ethyl alcohol, ammonium, and hydrogen peroxide. It also includes cosmetic improvements like a more desirable healthcare color palette to make it less industrial looking.
From a durability standpoint, it is still a drop-resistant 3-inch direct thermal portable label printer that is durable and light enough to wear on a belt making it feasible to print labels at the point of care. For instance, you can collect a specimen at the patient bedside and then create and associate a label right there.
Not only do the QLn320 and the QLn320 Healthcare have the same basic durability features, but they also share the same functional features including the ability to work with Windows, Android and iOS devices; connect wirelessly to either a 802.11a/b/g/n network or to a handheld computer via Bluetooth; and integrate with Link-OS. The mobile printer is powered by the same 32-bit ARM (400MHz) Processor with 128MB RAM/256MB Flash and capable of printing labels up to 2.9 inches (72mm) wide.
Bottom Line: The QLn320 Healthcare printer allows you to improve accuracy and productivity by printing labels at the point-of-care. With Zebra's IQ Color labels, you can give clinicians the ability to highlight the priority status and container type in red as indicated on the left side of the label (per CLSI (Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute) standard for specimen collection).
