The Honeywell HX3 Wearable computer is a rugged voice-directed computer originally produced by LXE (which Honeywell acquired in 2011). It is typically used in conjunction with a headset and/or ring scanner like a corded 8600 ring scanner or a cordless 8650 ring scanner, to provide a complete wearable solution. These wearable solutions allow the user to have both hands free for warehouse picking and small parcel moves.

The LXE HX3 is typically worn on the wrist or on the hip with a hip-flip accessory. It is a rugged device with a magnesium allow bezel, and high impact case; it can function in temperatures as low as -40F when worn under outer garment, has a 4 foot drop specification, and a IP54 rating. Despite this ruggedness, it is also light and weighs only 9.3 oz.

The HX3 voice-directed computer is powered by an Intel Xscale PXA225 400 processor with 128MB RAM and up to 512MB Flash. It runs the Microsoft Windows CE 5.0 Professional operating system and has several keyboard options. For wireless communications, the HX3 supports 802.11b/g (and 802.11a/b/g on some configurations) for connecting to your network; it also has Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR for connecting peripherals like a scanner or headset.
